Purpose of Award
The Community Service in Contracting Award was established to recognize the positive impact that contractor and construction related associations have on their communities. Too often homeowners and consumers hear the “bad” stories about contractors. With this award, the National Association of State Contractors Licensing Agencies (NASCLA) wants to showcase the countless hours and efforts that these organizations make by raising funds for charitable causes, contributing time, labor and materials to charities. At NASCLA’s 46th Annual Conference Banquet, a national contractor association will be recognized for their outstanding Community Service in Contracting.

NASCLA will manage the nomination process, and a panel of representatives from business, industry and community service organizations will serve as judges. The award recipient will be announced on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at NASCLA’s 46th Annual Conference Banquet.
