National Examination Database (NED)

The National Examination Database (NED) is a national registry that serves as a clearinghouse for people that have taken the NASCLA Accredited Examination for Commercial General Building Contractors .  NED has two (2) main features:

  1. Applicants register on NED in order to send their transcripts to other state contractor licensing agencies who accept the examination and
  2. State agencies access NED to view applicants’ transcripts and validate that they have passed the examination.

Q. Why do candidates need to register on the NASCLA National Examination (NED) Database?
