NASCLA Pre-Conference Programs
NASCLA Attorney Training Program
NASCLA will be conducting its second Attorney Training Program focusing on matters pertaining to the Regulatory Lawyer. This program is scheduled for Monday, August 27th from 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM. The Honorable Toni Boone and Honorable Michael Gillette will be presenting two sessions on Ethics and Role of the Board Attorney. Dale Atkinson, Executive Director for the Federation of Associations of Regulatory Boards (FARB), will be speaking on Administrative Law. Lastly, Amigo Wade, Senior Attorney, Principal at Virginia Division of Legislative Services will be speaking on the Legislature. This training is a great opportunity for your agency/company’s attorneys to receive valuable information from top experts in legal matters. An additional registration fee of $175 (member)/$225 (non-member) will apply. Continuing legal education credit will be offered.
NASCLA Investigator Training Program
The NASCLA Investigator Training Program has been extended once again in 2018 to an interactive course spanning two full days scheduled to take place from 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM on Monday, August 27th and Tuesday, August 28th. We welcome back instructors Michael Franklin, Deputy Attorney General, Department of Justice, State of California, and Doug Galbraith, Retired Captain, California Highway Patrol and Training Coordinator, California Contractors State License Board. They will be presenting on topics from the NASCLA Investigator Training Program Module which include The Investigative Process, Interview Techniques, Report Writing and Court Testimony. This will be a great opportunity for agency investigators to receive valuable training on legal and investigative matters. An additional registration fee of $175 (member)/$225 (non-member) will apply.

The National Association of State Contractors Licensing Agencies (NASCLA) Annual Conference is the association’s premier annual event. NASCLA will be hosting its 56th Annual Conference on August 27 - 30, 2018 at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

Hotel Reservation cut-off date is Monday, July 23, 2018.
The hotel offers complimentary shuttle service on a first come first served basis between 1st Avenue and 10th Avenue and from Korean Veterans Boulevard to Union Street. Please call for approximate wait time at (615) 268-0999. The shuttle runs from 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM.
