Philip has been involved in the construction industry since he was eight years old when he started helping his father remodel houses. He plans to work for a large general contractor company and invest in real estate one day. He is attracted to the construction industry due to its many tangible and intangible rewards.
Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Hunter developed a passion for building and design at an early age through Legos and Mindstorm robotics kits. Currently, he is a junior student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln studying Construction Management and Business. With his academic knowledge and internship experiences, he aspires to start his own general contracting construction company. As a young entrepreneur, Hunter strives to investigate ways to innovate and enhance the efficiency of the construction industry. As she continues studying the construction industry, Gabriela says with certainty that she made the right choice in selecting Construction Science as her profession. It has not only helped her build upon herself as a person, but it has also given her the confidence to encourage other first-generation minority students like herself to pursue their own goals.

Thank you so much to all of our 2020 NASCLA Contractor Scholarship Program applicants, it truly was a difficult selection process this year.
