The 2019 NASCLA Investigator Training Program is an interactive course spanning two (2) full days scheduled to take place from 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM on Monday, August 26th and Tuesday, August 27th. We welcome back instructors Michael Franklin, Deputy Attorney General, Department of Justice, State of California, and Doug Galbraith, Retired Captain, California Highway Patrol and Training Coordinator, California Contractors State License Board. They will be presenting on topics from the NASCLA Investigator Training Program Module which include the following:

Day 1

• Investigative Fundamentals
• Interview Strategies
• Effective Report Writing
• Confident Testimony

 Day 2

• Safety Awareness Training 
• Open Forum on Enforcement Strategies
  • Proactive enforcement 
  • Unlicensed contracting
  • Disaster emergencies
  • Consumer campaigns  
  • Elder abuse
  • Predatory practices

This will be a great opportunity for agency investigators to receive valuable training on legal and investigative matters. An additional registration fee of $175 (member)/$225 (non-member) will apply.

NASCLA will be conducting its third Attorney Training Program focusing on matters pertaining to the Regulatory Lawyer. This program is scheduled for Monday, August 26th from 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM. Amigo Wade, Senior Attorney, Principal at Virginia Division of Legislative Services will be presenting two (2) sessions on Legislature and Ethics. James Young, A deputy District Attorney In Orange County, California will be presenting on Administrative, Civil and Criminal Law processes and strategies. This training is a great opportunity for your agency/company’s attorneys to receive valuable information from top experts in legal matters.
