Solar Energy Toolkit
Solar energy has been around for decades but the solar industry is booming like never before. It’s never been easier or more affordable for a consumer to go solar.
This fast-growing segment of the construction industry is experiencing growing pains, especially when unlicensed or dishonest contractors take advantage of unsuspecting homeowners by not helping them make an informed decision. This is especially true when it comes to understanding the different financing options available, particularly with new programs that allow loan payments to be made through property taxes or utility bills.
By logging into the your member profile, State Members can access this program within the NASCLA Toolkit for Contractor Regulators which will provide you with information to help educate consumers considering a solar energy system including the following:
• Definition of a Solar Contractor / Solar License Classifications
• NASCLA Solar Energy Brochure
• Sample Solar Contracts
• Additional Solar Resources
We encourage all NASCLA State Members to submit additional resources for this program and any other programs within the NASCLA Toolkit for Contractor Regulators to NASCLA staff by emailing Kirsten Zacharias, NASCLA Program Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
